AECH MANDATE

  1. The Executive of the AECH will consist of the following positions:
    • Past President
    • President
    • Vice President
    • Secretary Treasurer
  2. Each position will carry a one-year term running from September to September.

    The President automatically becomes the Past President, the Vice President becomes President, and the Secretary Treasurer becomes Vice President.

    There will be an election for the position of Secretary Treasurer.
    Nominations will come from the existing executive and the vote will be held
    at the September meeting.

    In the event the current Secretary Treasurer does not wish to advance, the election will be for Vice President.

    If a member of the executive resigns during the year, with the exception of Past President, the respective position moves up and elections are held for the Secretary Treasurer position.
  3. Effective September of each year, the Executive will ensure representation in the following organizations:
  4. The President will represent the AECH on any public relations platform that may arise.
  5. The Secretary Treasurer will provide regular updates on disbursements of AECH and Edmonton Advantage funds.
  6. Membership criteria includes:
    • Full service hotels defined as operating food and beverage facilities and having a minimum of 4,000 square feet of meeting space.
    • Must be within the boundaries of the Alberta Capital Region.
    • Must participate in the Edmonton Advantage Program.
    • Must be represented at a minimum of 50% of the meetings by the General Manager or their designate.
    • Must be current on their dues, presently $1 per available room or $150, whichever is greater.
    • Must host a meeting on a rotating basis including a luncheon at no charge.
  7. Only members in good standing will have voting rights.
  8. Existing members who do not meet the membership criteria of F & B and square footage minimum standards are exempt from this condition only.
